Anne Frank and Her Life During World War II and the Holocaust
Every student in the United States, at some point in their education, reads The Diary of Anne Frank. Whether the reprinted version of the diary or the play that inspired by it, Anne's life in hiding is laid bear for the world. Although moments of humor aid in lightening the dark circumstances that forced Anne, her family, the Van Daan family, and Mr. Dussel into the annex, readers witness the trials of a normal teenage girl struggling to understand those around her and ultimately herself.
